About SEGA GOLF
Simon Elliott
Simon has been a member of the PGA for over 28 years and has gained international experience of teaching in England, Germany, United States, the Far East and Spain. He has spent the past twenty eight years studying and training with some of the most famous and respected teachers and players in the world of golf.
Ex-tour player and Yorkshire and Midland PGA Champion. His first introduction to golf was through his father at the age of 12 years (he himself a respected player at his home club Renishaw Park, Sheffield) where his curiosity and enthusiasm for the game led him to the Professional ranks in 1978. Under the guidance of David Dunk PGA Professional and European Tour Player his initiation began and led Simon to make it his life’s work.
A move of club in 1994, Druids Heath, gave Simon the opportunity to expand his teaching philosophy and wider recognition. Simon’s big turning point came in 1996 where he made a career move to the Costa-del-sol, Spain and established his teaching academy.
Simon became Technical Director and Head Professional of the Atalaya International Golf Academy and achieved worldwide recognition from the marketing of a 4 month annual Festival of Golf. Atalaya also boasted the southern headquarters for the PGA of Europe.
As Britain’s most innovative personal golf instructor, Simon began conducting his Golf, Body, and Mind Combined learning weeks as well as private classes, seminars and corporate events under the management of Master Hotels.
Simon works with all abilities from Tour Players to Beginners and is regarded by many as one of europe's finest teachers and communicators.
In March 2005 he created and established the Simon Elliott Golf Academy (SEGA)
